About This Safari
The monsoon transforms Udgiri into an exceptional destination for reptile and amphibian enthusiasts. The humid conditions and abundant vegetation create favourable habitats for several fascinating snake species.
Species include: Green Vine Snake (Haran Tol), Malabar Pit Viper — endemic to the Western Ghats, Bamboo Pit Viper, and other reptiles and amphibians that become more active during the rainy season. Bioluminescent fungi can also be seen.
